Once again our programme of events has been well received with all meetings well attended. Just before Christmas we enjoyed a fun evening with a suitably seasonal quiz followed by wine, sherry and mince pies. Our annual 'Christmas' meal was held in January at the Goshawk in Mouldsworth and was superb. Lovely food in pleasant surroundings made it a very convivial occasion.

In February we had an extremely informative talk by a representative of the NSPCC about the origins and work carried out by this wonderful organisation.

Some of the examples given were heartbreaking and we were all impressed by the commitment of the officers and volunteers in their work.
The March meeting was a fundraiser for our local Hospice, with cake, book and home crafted card stalls together with refreshments and a raffle. It is hoped to raise an appreciable amount for this most worthy of causes.
