The Parent and Toddler Group meet every Tuesday morning (during term time) 10.30am – 12pm in the Village Hall.

This is an ideal place for a parent, grandparent or carers to bring children from birth to school age. It is open to all whether or not you live in the village.

We have lots of toys and equipment to entertain children up to school age. Every week there is a craft table and each week the children have the opportunity to do something different, decorating biscuits, making things including cards, coasters, masks and picture frames. They also have fun painting, colouring and using the play dough. There is also a very popular book corner for those quieter moments.

There are many social events throughout the year, some for the children and some for the adults. The Group organise regular trips to the local playbarns, Chester Zoo and in the summer months to local parks for picnics. Last summer toddlers enjoyed a great day out at Greenacres Farm. For the adults there are regular nights out to restaurants in Chester.

The Group charges £1.20 per family and a rota operates to provide a drink and a biscuit for everyone mid-morning. Everyone is encouraged (including toddlers) to help with setting up the equipment and activities and also tidying up at the end. Towards the end of the session we sit together and sing songs and nursery rhymes. The toddlers especially love Sleeping Bunnies and the Okey Cokey.

The Parent and Toddler Group is a great way to meet people. We are very keen to meet new people and you will always be made welcome. Please come along to the Village Hall – we use the large hall so please ring the bell when you get there.
