Look out for this sign

A new type of right of way has sprung up in the parish - a Restricted Byway.
A restricted byway allows a right of way on foot, on horseback, or leading a horse, cycling and for any vehicles other than mechanically propelled vehicles unless for access.
Green Lane and Garners Lane are now both Restricted Byways. Please report any misuse to the footpaths warden or parish council member
Green Lane (Restricted Byway)
This path has now been extensively cleared to conform to its status as a restricted byway (See above).
While looking a little stark initially, the vegetation is beginning to recover and providing horse owners do not churn it up too much will soon 'green up' over the coming months.
Fencing of the field at the lower (eastern) end of the path is now complete and signs for the pathway have been put in place.
The area around the pond has been cleaned up and bulbs have been planted. The footpaths group will ensure this area is kept tidy despite the seating area resulting in people leaving their rubbish.
Update: further work is scheduled for this path to improve the drainage
Dingle path
New steps and pathway have been constructed by the Cheshire County Council Rights of way department. This path has recently been cleared of overgrown trees and bushes following representations from several residents.
Path 1 - Belle Vue Lane to the rugby club
Cheshire County Council and the Public Rights of Way dept seem to have been active in liaising with the new owner of the house along here. Apparently there has been a long running dispute concerning the positioning of the fencing around the house long before the current owners moved in and the lane is now as it should be. The style by the greenhouses has also been repaired in keeping with the existing large stones which support the stile
Gowy bridges
The bridges over the Gowy and its tributary have been repaired and new dog (and even horse) friendly gates have been installed at the intersection of the footpaths
